1. What is your name?
Kristen
2. What is your hometown?
Chicago, Il, currently living in the Northwest suburbs, grew up in Schiller Park/Elmwood Park.
3. Who are you the most like in your family?
I don't think I am really like anyone. I'm not remotely like my parents and even though I have two sisters, I'm not that similar to them either! I would have to say that I am most like my mother in law. That counts as family right?
4. What is your earliest childhood memory?
This a tough one. I think my earliest memory is of walking up the stairs in the two flat we lived in when I was growing up in Schiller Park. I lived there when I was really little and I remember the stairs because they were dark and wooden and really dangerous in the winter. Also, it was a full flight of stairs located outside. Yeah, it was an old building, it had a weird set up. I also distinctly remember asking for a baby sister. If I had known how she would turn out, I might have kept my mouth shut. ;)
5. What sound or noise do you love?
I really love the sound of food cooking. It's a sound to associate with the holidays -stuff frying or baking pans scraping against the oven racks or food being set up. I also like the sound of rain and I love a good thunderstorm. I would also say music, but I think that is a given.
6. What book do you associate with your childhood?
This is a tough one! I read a lot as a little kid. I would have to say that I remember the Baby Sitter's Club books, the Boxcar children books, and the Baby Sitter's Little Sister books. We also had an illustrated bible which was really cartoony, and if I ever saw it again, I'd buy it because of that. Hehe! We also had a set of Disney books with pictures from the movies and I loved those!
I remember all those series books from when I was a kid. I especially remember getting really excited when we got those book fliers at school and I would spend HOURS circling the books I wanted. I got baby sitters club, some other series called Roommates about girls in college. I still remember that there was one girl who taped a tea bag to her ceiling above her bunk. I never did find out why she did that. But I loved reading those books. -Teresa

Oh, that brings such great memories back! What a great question! I was more Judy Blume and Encyclopedia Brown. Neat! Great interview!
