Big Plans!
I have big plans to organize our house. It's in chaos because we're redoing a room and the entire contents of the room have been strewn around the rest of the house.
I realized at some point that our house was filled with hand me downs, Goodwill and flea market finds and very few things that were bought new. What I've realized is that my house isn't very...well...me. I've taken steps to resolve that.

I want cheerful, cozy rooms with lots of light that aren't too cluttered. I don't really like modern furnishings but I also don't dig the country kitsch look. I don't want rooms to feel stuffy and everything needs to be usable, sturdy and washable!
How is your dream house decorated?

I love the pebble floor, but I think my feet could only take it in the actual shower, and I agree on the yellow and gray - gorgeous! The blue in that bedroom is so welcoming and summery.
My dream house has very comfy NON-hand-me-down furniture, lots of little places to sit or gather and do stuff - play a board game, read a book, watch a movie. I like having spaces that are ergonomic and emotionally pleasing. I guess I kind of like "Zen-like" atmospheres, but still practical. :)
