Clean your headlights!
When I first got my Toyota the lights on it were blinding. In fact, one of the things that drew me to the ECHO were it's massive headlights. (Sure, it had a great personality too.) My previous car was a Plymouth Breeze and it's headlights were weak and dangerous. When I got the ECHO it was so amazing to be able to drive around the darkity dark dark Mississippi roads and be able to see everything. The only draw back was that people always assumed I had my brights on....but then flashing my high beams at them to prove they weren't on was kind of fun!
It's been almost ten years with the ECHO and now the head lights have gotten gross and visibility has declined.
I know that they sell kits and polishes that will fix the problem but they seemed pricey. I have also heard of services that come out and do this for you. I went to the trusty interwebs to find a cure and I found one that seemed to fit my budget. $1.
Tootpaste.
From now on I will call it headlight paste.
All you do is apply some toothpaste to the light, scrub, scrub and rinse and VOILA.
