Name:

Megan Keene aka MK

Hometown:

Charlotte, NC via Hollywood, FL

What is the most interesting non-academic thing that you learned in Junior High?

Be true to yourself - if you aren't, you'll never know who likes you for who you are and not what you can do for them. Everyone has an awkward phase...if they don't look like it on the outside, trust me, it hits them later on the inside. [Can we use 2 photos? I kinda want to use the horrible Blossom picture in a side-by-side with a picture of me now. Like a before & after. I am not ashamed - I gotta practice what I preach, right?!]

Doh I can't find it- JHoo note

How do you eat waffles?

Usually, if I eat a waffle, it's usually with some sort of fresh fruit and a couple pieces of turkey bacon with sugar-free syrup. Diabetes runs in my family.

What is the most important accessory for Spring 2010?

Going commando! Get your mind out of the gutter. I'm talking about the new military-inspired looks being brought by everyone from The Express and American Eagle to Jean Paul Gaultier and Balmain. I'm already hooked. Get out your safari khakis and epaulets! I can't narrow down a military accessory so I went with the style.

What song always makes you think of summer and warm weather?

This was hard...so many to choose from...do we go 90's hip-hop with "Summertime" by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince or a little old school/nu skool with "California Dreamin'" by Queen Latifah. Nope, people, I'm taking you back to my one true love....pop music. We're talking "Vacation" by The Go-Go's. What could be better than finding a summer love?! Ask Danny & Sandy, they'll tell you.

Do you have a blog or a website that you'd like to plug?

My website: www.tourdrobe.com It's brand new about the intersection of music/art/fashion/dance with the hopes of bringing new artists/musicians/dancers to the forefront. I am open to suggestions for anyone who might like to be featured on it!

---------------------------------------------------

This song always makes me think about washing my Dodge Omni.

"Jane Says" by Jane's Addiction...the one with the steel drums...always reminds me of being outside during the summer at night. I have no idea why. I don't think it's grounded in a real event.
